I ordered the sampler dish that served grilled lamb, chicken and beef with a side dish of salad, basmati rice with saffron rice on the top and a massive red onion as well. I felt it was unnecessary to have it served on the side but perhaps it's what Persians do with this cuisine. Nonetheless, it was very delicious and the meats were tender. I would definitely come back!
Yesterday we decided to go and try out urban gate restaurant. Personally, i love their super market because they have everything that i want. As i come from dubai with an persian background obviously place gonna be heaven for me lol. Anyways, going back to restaurant, its a good place. Nice foood, good service, and cozy atmosphere. I ordered jujeh kabab and asked them if they can substitute the rice with fries which they did. My sister in law ordered jujeh kabab as well with gheimeh bademjoon ( basically eggplant stew) and my inlaws ordered jujeh kabab too lol. And for starter we ordered ash reshteh. The jujeh was very good. Eggplant stew wasnt that good to my taste coz all i could taste was the cinnamon, very empowering. Ash reshteh was average. Overall, it wasnt bad.but the supermarket is great.
Pretty good Persian food. They have a nice looking restaurant inside, tables are mostly far apart. Service is decent enough, they're always busy so if you want to avoid lineups,I suggest making reservations. The waitresses are very nice, patient and informative for the most part.
Their Persian food is good, their simple kabob they make is better than most places I've been to. The more complex Persian dishes are also very tasty. The prices are pretty affordable.
One thing to note for halal eaters. I've asked several times whether their food is halal, I've gotten ten different answers. It usually alternates depending on the person you ask. Last time we asked, they said nothing was halal. So just keep that in mind if you're looking for a halal restaurant.
